The Gerontological Society of America (GSA) is a non-profit professional organization with more than 5000 members in the field of aging. The Cognitive Neurology and Alzheimer’s Disease Center

National Institute on Aging
The National Institute on Aging (NIA), one of the 25 institutes and centers of the National Institutes of Health, leads a broad scientific effort to understand the nature of aging and to extend the healthy, active years of life. In 1974, Congress granted authority to form the National Institute on Aging to provide leadership in aging research, training, health information dissemination, and other programs relevant to aging and older people. Subsequent amendments to this legislation designated the NIA as the primary federal agency on Alzheimer’s disease research.

The ASSERT Project
The ASSERT (Assistance, Support and Service for Evaluation and Research Training) Project collaborates with Chicago-area social service agencies to build capacity for research and evaluation through workshops, seminars, one-on-one consultations and other technical assistance.

Illinois Office of the Attorney General
The Illinois Office of the Attorney General "works to protect all Illinois seniors" through programs, education and the Senior Citizens Consumer Fraud Hotline.
