Lauren Nelson is a medical student at Northwestern's Feinberg School of Medicine.  After finishing her 3rd year of medical school, she decided to spend a year working with the Buehler Center due to her interest in palliative care.  Lauren received a BS in Biology from the University of New Orleans.  She completed her 1st two years of medical school at Louisiana State University School of Medicine in New Orleans, where she helped run a homeless clinic for local children.  Lauren will to return to medical school after her year with the Buehler Center to complete her final year, and she plans to pursue Internal Medicine.
