Lee Lindquist, MD, MPH

As a staff physician at Northwestern Memorial Hospital and the Rehabilitation Institute of Chicago, Dr. Lindquist provides clinical care for seniors in both the inpatient and outpatient settings. She has received multiple teaching awards and has special research interest in promoting geriatric education among students and housestaff as well as improving the safety and well-being of seniors as they transition from acute hospitalizations. Dr. Lindquist was awarded the Augusta Webster Grant Award for three years to continue a program for first year medical students that will allow them to gain early experiences in caring for elderly patients through weekly lectures and hands-on clinical encounters with seniors. She has also received the Northwestern Memorial Hospital Excellence in Academic Medicine (EAM) Grant to evaluate how health literacy impacts the safety of seniors as they are discharged from an acute hospitalization. Additionally, Dr. Lindquist has published numerous articles in geriatric care and has received international media attention for her work with alternatives to assisted living.
