Andrew was hired to join the Buehler Center staff in March 2007. He currently works on the Patient Safety Education Project, EPEC – Distance Learning, and EPEC – Caregiver projects. He is also assisting Dr. Lau with his studies of Medication Prioritization and Medication Use in the Dementia population. He was drawn to working at the Buehler Center by his experiences as a HOSPICE volunteer. He has a BS in Chemical Engineering from the University of Kentucky.
Andrew spent the past five years working in the pharmaceutical industry. He brings experience in the regulatory process involved in research, development, manufacturing, and distribution of clinical trial and generic drugs. He played a lead role in the FDA approval of three commercial generic drug products. He also has experience in hydrogen fuel cell research and chemical processing. In addition to his work at the Buehler Center, Andrew is a student at Northwestern’s School of Continuing Studies and hopes to pursue graduate education. His research interests include brain imaging and the neurobiology of learning and memory. In his spare time, Andrew likes to dance swing, salsa, and flamenco.
