Becoming a PAS Visiting Scholar
Qualified researchers at the
pre- or postdoctoral level may apply to PAS for privileged access
to the Herskovits Library and other Africanist research resources
at Northwestern. The Program of African Studies assists visiting
scholars by providing liaison with relevant Northwestern faculty
and students and by enabling access to appropriate campus facilities,
notably the Melville J. Herskovits Library of African Studies.
In addition to conducting their own research, Visiting Scholars
and Research Affiliates are encouraged to participate in the
various events sponsored by the Program of African Studies and
its related programs.
