Medical Student Accommodations

Accommodations can be made for each phase of your medical education. Medical students with disabilities are encouraged to disclose their disability and register with ANU as early as possible in their medical education. Accommodations are arranged on a case-by-case basis for all types of exams and clinical rotations in collaboration with Feinberg School of Medicine faculty.

M1/M2 students who have completed the registration and documentation process should email Associate Director - ANU to request an accommodation letter for your Phase 1 classes and exams. Feinberg’s Associate Dean for Student Programs and Career Development will assist you in arranging accommodations such as more time for exams, note taking assistance, and other accommodations in the classroom.

M3/M4 students who have completed the registration and documentation process should email Associate Director - ANU each time you start a new rotation. In your email, include the names and email addresses of the clerkship director and coordinator. For exam and other clerkship accommodations, notification is sent to the clerkship director, clerkship coordinator, Director of Standardized Patient Programs, and Associate Dean for Student Programs and Career Development.
