Accessing the Chicago Campus

Getting to the Chicago Campus

For ANU students in Feinberg School of Medicine, Physical Therapy, Physician Assistant, Prosthetics and Orthotics, Pritzker School of Law, Kellogg Evening/Weekend MBA, Counseling@Northwestern, School of Professional Studies, and Distance Learning programs, your ANU advisor is the Associate Director, AccessibleNU. The ANU-Chicago office is located in Abbott Hall (710 N. Lakeshore Drive), Suite 500. Abbott Hall houses other student and university services offices such as Human Resources, Chicago Campus Parking Services, and the Office of Student Accounts.

The Chicago campus of NU is located in the Streeterville neighborhood and is close to Northwestern Memorial Hospital, Ann and Robert H. Lurie Children’s Hospital, Shirley Ryan AbilityLab, the Magnificent Mile, the Museum of Contemporary Art, and Water Tower Place.

NU’s Chicago campus is accessible via Chicago Transit Authority bus and elevated lines. To plan your trip, view a list of CTA accessible stations, or use the RTA Trip Planner. All CTA buses and railcars are accessible. Check ahead to see if your CTA rail station is accessible (approximately 2/3 of CTA train stations are wheelchair accessible). The closest rail stations are the Red Line stops at Chicago/State and Grand (both are approximately a 15-20 minute walk to campus) and bus routes 3, 66, 120, 121, and 157.

NU operates several shuttles for students, faculty, and staff on both the Evanston and Chicago campuses. For more information about shuttles, visit Transportation and Parking or view the Shuttle Overview map.
