Academic Assistance Programs through MSA

Multicultural Student Affairs (MSA) provides students with several programs that contribute to their academic development. Programs include:

  • Academic Achievement Initiative
  • Tutoring Program
  • Writing Night
  • Study Abroad information sessions
  • Fellowships information sessions
  • Chicago Field Studies information sessions

Tutoring Program

One of the academic-assistance programs that MSA offers is the tutoring program. MSA offers free tutoring throughout the year. Subjects include biology, general chemistry, organic chemistry, physics, economics, statistics, and calculus.

AASA Rising Sophomore Program

As participants in the Rising Sophomore Program sponsored by African American Student Affairs, students are invited to consider and explore options beyond the first year with combined campus resources, including advisors and faculty from the undergraduate schools, academic programs, pre-professional areas, research grants, and fellowships.
