Weeklong Founders' Day celebration commemorates University chartering in 1851

From the more than 4,000 people who lit a virtual candle on the Founders' Day website to the students who stopped by Norris University Center for free birthday cake to the alumni who shared their favorite Northwestern memories via social media, last week's Founders' Day celebration was an opportunity for Northwestern University to reflect on its incredible 161-year educational legacy.
