Job Outlook Improving for New Grads


Online job listings on Northwestern career servces site up 48% over last year

EVANSTON, Ill. --- As colleges and universities around the country enter the final stretch of the academic year, many members of the Class of 2011 are eagerly searching for gainful employment once they complete their degrees. With a still-fragile economy, how are students doing with their job quests?

"All indicators right now are that everything is up in terms of hiring," said Lonnie Dunlap, executive director of career services at Northwestern University. "One of the things we are seeing is that our students, especially those who started their job search early, are getting multiple offers."

In this audio Q&A, Dunlap discusses the general job outlook for the Class of 2011 and provides some tips for those still looking for work after graduation.
