Northwestern Honored for Sustained Haiti Relief

Center for Global Health to accept award from the DuSable Heritage Association

EVANSTON, Ill. --- Northwestern University, with partners in the Chicago Medical Consortium for Haiti Relief, has received the DuSable Heritage Association Award for sustained health relief in Haiti.

The DuSable Heritage Association, a nonprofit organization with a mission to celebrate the legacy of Chicago-founder Jean-Baptiste Pointe DuSable through cultural and educational activities, turned its attention to relief efforts after the January 2010 earthquake.

The Feinberg School of Medicine Center for Global Health will accept the award at the annual DuSable Heritage Award Fundraiser on March 5.
