Medill's Josh Meyer says most news organizations are careful in using leaked documents

WASHINGTON --- Diplomatic fallout continues around the globe in the wake of the release of thousands of communications between the U.S. State Department and its embassies by the watchdog group WikiLeaks. In this audio commentary, Josh Meyer, director of education and outreach at the National Security Journalism Initiative at Northwestern University’s Medill School of Journalism, discusses the impact of the leaks from the standpoint of both national security and journalistic ethics.
