Few Pharmacies Can Translate Prescription Labels into Spanish

CHICAGO --- New research at Northwestern University’s Feinberg School of Medicine has revealed that surprisingly few pharmacies in the United States are able to translate prescription medication instructions into Spanish. Stacy Bailey, director of the Health Literacy and Learning program at Northwestern, says they surveyed close to 800 pharmacies in Texas, Colorado, Georgia and North Carolina. She discusses the results.
