EVANSTON, Ill. ---The Center for Talent Development (CTD) at Northwestern University – the University's accredited learning center serving gifted students and their families -- will expand its summer program for students completing pre-kindergarten through third grade to Palatine.

CTD will partner with Palatine's Quest Academy, which serves more than 300 pre-school through eighth grade students with a challenging program that emphasizes creativity and imagination.

"Leapfrog is our fastest growing program," said CTD Director Paula Olszewski-Kubilius. "Quest Academy is a perfect partner for us given their mission and exceptional facilities."

Leapfrog provides summer course choices in mathematics, science and language arts, all of which are designed to help gifted children acquire and practice new concepts in a variety of challenging and hands-on ways.

CTD will hold three one-week sessions, from 9 a.m. to noon Monday through Friday, at Quest Academy starting July 13, July 20 and July 27. Students can attend one or multiple sessions. On the final Friday of each of the three weeks, students and instructors will show family and friends what they have learned.

"Our partnership with CTD is further validation of Quest Academy's impact in advancing knowledge in the field of gifted education and of the successes enjoyed by our alumni," said Quest Academy Head of School Benjamin Hebebrand. "We are pleased to partner with the Center and deliver the Leapfrog program to gifted children throughout the region."
