Bienen to Deliver State of University Address Feb. 21


University President Henry S. Bienen will deliver the 2008 State of the University address at 9 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 21, in Baldwin Auditorium of the Robert H. Lurie Medical Research Center, 303 East Superior St. on the Chicago campus.

EVANSTON, Ill. --- University President Henry S. Bienen will deliver the 2008 State of the University address at 9 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 21, in Baldwin Auditorium of the Robert H. Lurie Medical Research Center, 303 East Superior St. on the Chicago campus.

A question and answer session will follow his remarks. The speech will be webcast simultaneously for viewers in the McCormick Tribune Center Forum, 1870 Campus Drive on the Evanston campus.

All members of the University community are invited to join the audiences in Chicago or Evanston and to ask questions. Anonymous questions can be submitted in advance to NUSAC at nusac@northwestern.edu.

Those unable to go to either campus location may view the webcast by clicking on the "State of the University" banner on the University's home page, www.northwestern.edu. To view the webcast, it is recommended that you download, install, and test the most recent version of RealPlayer before Feb. 21. Those with an earlier version of RealPlayer or RealOne should uninstall it before downloading RealPlayer 10.

Live online coverage will also be available on campus via Basic NUTV Channel 1. Viewers can go to www.tss.northwestern.edu/nutv/helpguide and select the "State of the University" link.

Bienen's annual address is sponsored by the Northwestern University Staff Advisory Council (NUSAC) and the Office of the President.
