2005 FSA Deadline Is Feb.28

The deadline for submitting claim forms for reimbursement from Flexible Spending Accounts (FSA) for services in calendar year 2005 is the end of February.

Completed claim forms must be received by 5 p.m. by either the Benefits Division in Evanston or the Chicago Human Resources Office. Any account balance as of March 1 will be forfeited.

To facilitate submitting FSA claims, Walgreens drug store receipts identify expense items which are eligible for reimbursement from FSA Health Care Accounts, including prescription drugs and over the counter medications. Participants in the Blue Cross PPO health plan may access claim history information online at http://bcbsil.com, print the claims list and attach the list to their FSA claim forms. The list contains the necessary information for FSA reimbursement.
