Time Off for Voting

Employees who are unable to vote before or after regular working hours on Election Day may take the time needed to vote, not to exceed two hours, during the working day without loss of pay.

An employee must get supervisory approval at least two days before the election and explain why he or she needs to vote during working hours. Biweekly employees should code this time on their timesheet as ELE.
