Northwestern's Evanston campus is home to the main branch of the Northwestern University Library, as well as many special collections and a few branch libraries that serve the specific needs of schools and departments. Other libraries are also available, such as the United Library for students at Garrett-Evangelical and Seabury-Western Seminaries, and the Evanston Public Library, which is accessible to all area residents.
Patrons on the Chicago campus can visit the Schaffner Library, which serves as the campus's general subject library. Other Chicago libraries are maintained principally for patrons from the Feinberg School of Medicine and Northwestern University School of Law.
The library's resources are accessible online, including the NUcat library catalog, course materials on electronic reserve, extensive databases and electronic journals, and other Internet resources.
The Northwestern University in Qatar Library is available to all Northwestern students, faculty, and staff on the University's Doha campus. Patrons may also borrow materials from other Education City libraries.
